The expertise consolidated over more than a decade as a provider of cutting-edge solutions for the oil and gas sector enables us to expand our range of operations and offer our inventive capacity to other sectors that make intensive use of technology in their operations.

We use the open innovation model, combining partner competences to innovate and build new businesses for the sale of products.

Our History

ouronova has consolidated a robust portfolio of projects in partnership with global companies and universities. The generation of almost 20 patents and the achievement of technological innovation awards reflect our capacity and expertise.

● Creation of Ouro Negro S.A. through the incorporation of four PUC-Rio (Rio Catholic University) spin-offs.
2011
● Licensing of flexible riser monitoring technology developed by PUC-Rio and Petrobras (MODA System);
● First sales of the MODA System.
2014
● Equity Raise;
● New facilities;
● We have surpassed the mark of 100 MODA installations.
2016
● We have installed more than 220 MODA systems in four years.
2018
● Repsol Sinopec Brasil, Ouro Negro and PUC-Rio sign a technological partnership for the development of innovations in the well area, using resources from the RD&I clause of the concession contracts of the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP);
● We have over 300 MODA systems installed;
● Ouro Negro's executives are honored in EY's Entrepreneur of the Year 2019, in the Emerging category, which rewards those whose companies show great growth potential.
2020
● Adoption of a new brand, safeguarding the essence and reaffirming the vocation of a deep tech venture builder, projecting a new business vision, expanding to different sectors that make intensive use of technology.
2010
● Provision of intelligent completion systems for wells in mature fields located in Brazil’s Northeastern region.
2013
● MODA receives the ANP Technological Innovation Award in category I – Technological Innovation developed in Brazil by a national science and technology institution (ICT);
● Contracts with Petrobras for development of advanced intelligent completion and laser well stimulation systems;
● Entry into the subsea system segment;
● ERP Implementation.
2015
● Acquisition of 100% control of subsidiaries;
● Initiation of contract with Petrobras to monitor risers of five platforms that operate in pre-salt areas;
● Development of international strategic alliances;
● Development of Industrial Property Policy;
● Implementation of Integrated Management System.
2017
● Evolution - Overcoming the 10 Patent Mark;
● Qualification of new technologies;
● Presentation of robotic systems at the Offshore Technology Conference 2018 - Houston (texas/USA).
2019
● Ouro Negro completes 10 years of activities;
● Petrogal Brasil (Galp), Ouro Negro and PUC-Rio sign a technological partnership for the development of subsea solutions with high power laser, with the technical support of Petrobras, using resources from the RD&I clause of the concession contracts of the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
